We are truly a small family run farm. We are located on 45 acres just south of Dallas, Oregon with a view of the Coastal Range. Our acreage is primarily pasture with a few very small wooded areas on the west side of the property. All the work is done by myself (Wendy) my husband Jim and our two teenagers. Anne and Daniel. Because there is never enough cash flow on a farm, both Jim and I try to maintain jobs off the farm, which makes for some very interesting and long days. Its not uncommon for one of us to be up at 5 am out moving the cattle to fresh grazing before heading off the farm for a day of hoof trimming (or ?) and then coming home to work until 8 or 9 pm outside trying to catch up on the farm chores. Needless to say, living life on a farm isn't for everyone, but we love it and we love interacting with the animals on a daily basis and wouldn't change lifestyles if we could. |
